[cobalt-users] PERL of PHP/MySQL?

Hi Brian,

I know that perl is not the way to go for a large database.
http://www.hollywoodbookcity/ data base was done in perl, it
has about 30,000 records and is very very slow and crashes
if you try to add more data. I didn't develop the site, but
I'm developing a new site for them using HTML/OS by Aestiva
http://www.aestiva.com/ check it out, if you like what you
see I can save you money on the purchase.

For a good example of their database check http://sameday.com

Best regards

If these databases will contain many records, you will definitely see a
performance improvement using any SQL backend vs a flat file.

The PHP/MySQL installation combo has been thrown around quite a bit lately.
You might want to search the archives for said information.
