[cobalt-users] FP and CGI

I never had a problem with FP and cgi. As long as you dont enable and
FP security settings the cgi scripts should remain untouched. At least
in FP 2000. In the old version there were some problems but it seems
2000 doesnt have a problem with FTP'd files as it dynaically rebuilds
the FP reference files everyting u login, refresh or save any of the FP
2000 files.

Via FTP I've created a "CGI" bin directory in a FrontPage site. I've
also
created additional directories via FTP. As long as those directories
are
never "touched" by the FrontPage Explorer or Editor, I've never had a
problem. I've put FormMail.pl and Web Adverts in those directories
without
any problems. The rest of the site functions just fine.
