If you using FP you dont have to use the Extenstions, too
You can make your Page and upload via FTP.

Im Using just a Texteditor, or for bigger Pages MS-InterDev 6.0

To Install the Frontpage Extenstion may a Security Risk (Just for the Site
where it is installed) an grabs more Space you need cause the most File
are uploaded with Frontpage will be twice on the Server in SubFolders, so
if you have a Page with 1 MB size with Frontpage it will take 2 MB space.

Pages made with frontpage are often bigger cause FP trashes a lot of
html-source
in the code wich you dont need.
