[cobalt-users] RE: [Cobalt] Adverse effects to FrontPage server extensions?

Hello,
If a user uses FrontPage and then uses ftp it trashes the ext. the only
recourse after that is to enable the ext. again and of course that will
delete everything in that user directory. So inform your users to use
either FrontPage or ftp, not both. You might put this on a FAQ page to cut
down on support calls.
Good Luck!

extensions?

I'm having a problem with FrontPage users loading with FrontPage and then
trying to edit or delete with FTP.

Once files are created or uploaded to a Cobalt, the CHOWNer becomes httpd,
thus the site administrator can not edit those files until they change
ownership...

Any insight?

Is anyonne aware of any adverse effects to FrontPage server extensions on a
RaQ2 if you FTP with a regular FTP program when FPSE are installed?
