Where have you been?  The bickering was over several days ago; it was 
based on getting rid of me.  I resigned.  End of that story.

It's not a matter of which list will or not go away.  It's a matter of 
which members won't subscribe to either list and will therefore not be 
available to either.

These lists have had over 1,000 discrete posters during the last three 
months; less than a tenth of that was the number on the designated 
replacement list as of the last time I knew it.

That doesn't make for a viable community.
