[cobalt-users] The end of an era - or - what a week to go on Holiday!!

Well it looks like I picked a peachy week to go on my Hols!!

Short from plague, famine and pestilence then I could not have hoped for
anything worse!
Having scanned through all the err.. discussions! regarding the lists then I
would just like to say thanks for all the help from this excellent list,
which is made up of excellent individuals, even if they do not always see
eye to eye, especially at this moment in time.

My plea is please do not let egos and possibly business squabbles destroy
what is a superb asset to the cobalt community, the whole ethos of open
source is to all put in what you can for the common good of the whole. Some
will be able to put in more than others, some may have more to gain than
others as it may help their business by helping people and adding a few tag
lines to the posts, but lets not loose sight of the bigger picture.. to be
screwed over by Sun is one thing, but to end up doing it to ourselves is
just plain crazy.

It would be a shame to loose any of the experts on this list, however when
it starts to degrade into a personal slagging off battle then we are
probably better off without those experts, which is very very sad.

So come on guys, play nicely and lets see what happens with the other lists,
if it does not work then as a community we can take further actions in the
future to provide other resources and forums if needed.

This is just my personal view having looked through hundreds of posts in the
last couple of days.

Anyway .. so long .. and thanks for all the fish!!
