Reece,
Since you have stated that you are a lawyer, let me point out your above
contradiction. Therefore, altering anyone's original message may not be any
violation of copyright. In my opinion, no one should alter anyone's posts.
Deleting worthless threads like this discussion would be totally up to the
owner or elected moderator of the list.
