Zeffie - I don't have a problem with any of that - the only thing I would
not like to see the list used for is blatant self-advertising. The current
list does use the ability to suggest its members for work ...... I found you
that way ......
The only danger is where one of "those who can" see an easy way to make
money - ie a simple question is asked and the answer given is - "yes it can
be done - in fact I'll do it for you etc etc"
The only time I would accept such advertising is when the posters asks "I
need to do this and would like to pay someone to do it for me" - then the
above answer would be acceptable (or even better done off-list)
All the others I agree with.

I have been using the cobalt lists for over three years now and whilst you
may be knowledgeable Zeffie, you do have a habit of "throwing your teddy
bears" away when someone challenges you - this childish attitude is what
gets you a bad name, nothing else. I personally respect what you do for the
cobalt community, as I respect all the others, but sometimes you push too
far and won't let go, and yes, we are all trying to make a living, I have
found the long slow process of helping people and building up respect to be
one of the best ways of self advertising, without anyone actually realizing
that's what you are doing
