Let me just reiterate (before this thread goes sour) that I
personally have subscribed to CobaltFacts in the past and just keep
forgetting to resubscribe if our connection gets dropped and bounces
take me off that list.

My point in #8 is that there are several offers to host the
List in general and that it's a sad state of affairs when the posts
I've seen here recently indicate those who are offerring a solution
are doing nothing more than 'grabbing the glory' or 'wrangling for
opportunities'. Of the offers I've seen, I do not feel any of them
are in that mode, including CobaltFacts.

But again, overall we need more than just a home for the Lists.
We need a resource center that not only houses the Lists and their
archives, but then goes on to provide resources, service listings, etc.
so that you don't have to jump all over the place to find answers. I've
gone on many quests for a Cobalt problem solution and had to spend the
time going to Sun, CobaltFacts, this List, RaQTweak, Pkgmaster and 10-15
others. Sometimes I just gave up and worked around it the hard way
after spending more time that it was worth. If it were all in one
place as a starting point, that's the ultimate solution.

Right now Thom, you have a List solution, Jeff's got a List
solution, Zeffie's not happy with almost anyone <Grin>. And I see by
a few replies to my post today that there are enough newcomers and
part-timers who need a solution that's simplistic, yet deep enough for
the pro's to use. We need more than a List solution past 4 days from
now.
