Generally yes, but I have seen times when it did not start. Plus the GUI only
allows for one (1) time server - and I have four in-house which I use for all
my "other" servers. These four sync to national level (stratum 1 or stratum
2) servers, then all my in-house and customer servers sync to them.
Generally you can run "chkconfig --list" from a root prompt and see what is
listed for xntpd. Should be 345 "on" if set to run, then a ps fax | grep ntp
should show the process. "xntpdc -p" will show what servers are sync'd and
their status.
