Uh, if it's a US corporation there are some reasonably strict regulations
that govern non-profits, and there are certain legal fees.

So, if that;s the route we take, the president would either have to agree
to bear all the costs, or the members voting would have to agree to
contribute to the cost.

It's been a while since I've been involved with a non-profit, but I think
it also needs corporate officers, and in all fairness to them, the
corporation needs to insure them against personal loss if the corporation
makes some error.
