yup, I turned it on this morning, so all components were cold. Startup
proceeded as normal (as far as I can see on the LCD), I immediately entered
the network setup on the front panel to set an internal IP and by the time I
had to enter the netmask, the server hung and started to reboot.

If it's a heat related problem the system will only have a problem once
it starts to get hot.
Does it start it's reboot cycle as soon as you turn it on from cold??
