have you checked to see if the mailroot contails .lock and .pop files? That
happened on my RAQ4 and the pop3 would fail BUT the webmail would continue
to function.

I have some users that are using outlook getting mail, it seems that only
when they send to hotmail.com it fails. However when they use openwebmail it
works fine... any ideas as to why this is happening?
