[cobalt-users] Raq550 + Awstats 5.9-1

Hello

I installed AWSTATS 5.9-1 on a Raq 4 (upgraded to OS 550)

The cron jobs are running fine every night since I am getting this :

Update for config "/etc/awstats/awstats.www.e-maxx.info.conf"
With data in log file "/home/sites/www.e-maxx.info/logs/web.log"...
Phase 1 : First bypass old records, searching new record...
Direct access after last updated record successfull (after line 175044)
Phase 2 : Now process new records (Flush history on disk after 20000
hosts)...
Jumped lines in file: 175044
 Found 175044 old records.
Parsed lines in file: 4073
 Found 0 dropped records,
 Found 1 corrupted records,
 Found 0 old records,
 Found 4072 new qualifed records.
Frontpage ENABLED on /home/sites/www.e-maxx.info/web
Update for config "/etc/awstats/awstats.ct.e-maxx.info.conf"
With data in log file "/home/sites/ct.e-maxx.info/logs/web.log"...
Phase 1 : First bypass old records, searching new record...
Direct access after last updated record successfull (after line 1996)
Phase 2 : Now process new records (Flush history on disk after 20000
hosts)...
Jumped lines in file: 1996
 Found 1996 old records.
Parsed lines in file: 3
 Found 0 dropped records,
 Found 0 corrupted records,
 Found 0 old records,
 Found 3 new qualifed records.

BUT, when I try to read them (www.e-maxx.info/awstats) it is asking me for a
login and a password.

Then, I get : "The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration
and was unable to complete your request. Your administrator may not have
enabled CGI access for this directory. "

I have 2 questions : What do I need to do to prevent the error message and
how to get ride of the login request ?

thanks in advance

davis

ps : I am a new to the Linux / Cobalt world, so please, explain step by
step.
