well you might be right there... in that case I would suggest looking around
and watching your mail log (tail -f /var/log/maillog) and checking your
mailq (mailq) and basicly looking for what could be causing all the load or
maybe connections...  which it sounds like you are having a problem with...

This is one of those places it's nice to do some monitoring with a control
station...  and hey... running top might be handy here too...
