I have a raq3 with two 80gig disks installed, I haven't seen the machine over a year so I don't remember how I hooked it up, but I was sure it had two ide connections. I didn't have a second sled so I think I put the disk in with doubled sided neoprene tape. Your doing something wrong with that ram there, I put in 2x512 and it worked, I think they were just PC133.

I have a raq3 with one IDE port. I know i could have a second solderd in but
is it possible to use an ide cable with two plugs and have two hdd on one
cable? Kind of master and slave setup?

I've also tried putting a 256SDRam in with a 128SDRAM. They work in the raq
seperatly but togther it wont boot. Can i only put 256SDRAM in?
