Sendmail is expecting any emails to be sent by the main site on the Raq, the
authentication warning is saying that a mail sent does not appear to come
from the main site. It is simply something that occurs to alert the server
admin that it is happening - it is not saying in any way that the email has
failed.
If you were seeing ait and did not know that a customer was doing it then it
would be more to worry about.
I'm not sure why in formmail you would even need to set this, there are
occasions when you do need to set it, as an example we use a email to SMS
gateway who authenticates us both by IP address and via the header structure
on the incoming email.
I took a look at the time I was writing that routine to see if I could see
way of suppressing the warnings in maillog, but after reading a bit on the
sendmail site gave up as it was to complicated (for me anyway).
