Hi there:
Got a weird one that seemingly appears to be affecting any RaQ. I noticed
the other day that in some circumstances, I am not able to FTP into a RaQ
from certain buildings. This could be any RaQ hosted anywhere--not
necessarily the same one.
Upon looking into it and talking with a few systems engineers at each
building, I am told that the RaQ is:
"not in full compliance with the RFC specifications. Particularly this
server does not appear to be ending the "PORT COMMAND" with a new line. As
a result of this behavior the firewall immediately drops the connection, as
aberrant behavior."
I know that using Passive FTP *should* enable it to work--and in most cases
it does. But in some instances, it doesn't make a difference.
How would I correct this? If anyone can send me in the right direction,
I'll run with it.....
Thanks.
Barnaby
