No need to do that. We used a Debian server with Sendmail and MailScanner
and Spamassassin.

Setup Sendmail to use MailerTable and Relay Domains.

We set up an mx record for each domain as the priority MX that points to the
gateway. Then we place the domain in the relay.

Examples here

Mailertable

webpresencegroup.net smtp:mail.webpresencegroup.net

In the relay domains just place this

webpresencegroup.net

For DNS we did this

A Record webpresencegroup.net > 63.XXX.XXX.XXX (WebServer/Raq)
A Record wpgmail.webpresencegroup.net > 63.XXX.XXX.X (MailHub Server)
A Record mail.webpresencegroup.net > 63.XXX.XXX.XXX (WebServer/Raq)

MX Record webpresencegroup.net > wpgmail.webpresencegroup.net 10
MX Record mail.webpresencegroup.net > mail.webpresencegroup.net 30

This may not be the "Guru Way" but it works damn well for us:)

We see hardly any Spam coming in to the Raq's anymore. Our clients called
and wanted to know if our mail servers were down because they only received
email from their clients and not all the garbage. It takes a little getting
used to not having a message every 2 minutes :))
