[cobalt-users] Email and Mx records/Dns problems

Guys,

I've been going round and round in circles for about 2 days now with regards
to 
Mx records, Dns settings, and filtering, and I've come to a dead end. I
would REALLY 
Appreciate a little guidance before I loose my rag, and it all goes out of
the
Window.....

Ok. Have moved two domains from previous hosting, and pointed them to the
new server
(4i running 550 Os). Mail is coming in fine, and we can pick up using
openwebmail 
no problems at all.

However, when we try to log in using a proper email client (eg. Outlook),
using mail.domain.net
OR pop.domain.net OR pop3.domain.net, it is coming up with:

"Outlook could not connect to the incoming mail server (pop3). The problem
could be your SSL
Or port settings for the incoming server"

And the same for the SMTP server. So therefore It can accept incoming mails.
These can be read.
BUT, we cannot log in using Outlook.

Looking a little further, Dns Report shows the following :

ERROR: You have one or more MX record(s) that contain an IP address. This is
not valid. Some mail servers may be able to send you mail, others may not.
The problem MX records are:
81.168.76.189.

ERROR: I could not complete a connection to any of your mailservers!
81.168.76.189: Could not connect without glue or A record.
If this is a timeout problem, note that the DNS report only waits about 30
seconds for responses, so your mail may work fine in this case but you will
need to use testing tools specifically designed for such situations.

Umm.... Heeelllpp!!!

All Dns's are pointed to our ip above that the server is connected to.
