Hi Mikael,

I have a number of OS X clients on my network here.  Even the ones who
are unsuccessfully APOPing are still pulling down their mail OK via a 
regular POP3 pull - but the failed APOP still gets logged.  If you'd rather
use the more secure APOP, just set it per account in the Cobalt GUI and
it will work fine.

Let me know if you need any further info (I am a Mac OS X user and 
Cobalt "admin" myself :-) ).

Now, don't even ask me about POP Before SMTP .. that I have NO idea
about. :-)
