What is the best way to verify that I have C9 and C10 installed?
Do I need to uninstall or a reinstall on top of it?
If so, do I force it? What is the command that you would use?

I haven't tried it on a RaQ550 yet, we used the normal Sun/Cobalt V-1
The one I recommended was for a ra3/4/Q3.
Odd that it wouldn't install, are you sure you ahve the C9 and C10 kernel
patches installed.
Maybe try it from the CLI, usually gives better error info
/usr/sausalito/sbin/pkg_prepare.pl -i -R -f <pkg-name>
Of course the -R will not allow a reboot, so you can leave it
off, or just do a reboot after it installs, and/or see what error it
gives.
