Re: [cobalt-users] quick upgrade patch method?

Well, everything appears to be working, and working well. I have one problem with my system, and that is that it seems that the /var/log/messages file is not being rotated correctly, even though it seems to be defined properly in /etc/logrotate.d/syslog. I also have the problem on a machine that I upgraded the traditional way. (

I currently do not have a non production raq (or really the time to do the manual upgrade on it) to do a comparison of the results myself. I was just hoping that someone who had spent a lot more time on the scripts that run the raq could tell me that I was missing something by not rebooting as frequently as I should during the upgrade process, or that I should have been running a different script from /usr/local/sbin/cobalt_upgrade to get what I wanted done.

Wim.

I had to reinstall a raq4i from scratch recently. after netbooting from

of all of the patches takes quite a while, especially if you reboot
every time it wants you to reboot.

I want to know if this will work, or if there will be problems if I try
this?

(Contents snipped because they were large and getting messy.)
