I agree with that Charlie. 43.5 C is high for lightly loaded server but it
depends as well on the DataCenter Temperature and
if there are hot machines/servers adjacent to that server.
Our RaQ4 Server is always at 35-36 C with the following:
Traffic: average daily 10-13 kbyte/second.
Load: average daily 0.13
About rebooting I have added this line to the bottom of /etc/rc.d/rc.local :
/bin/mail MyEmail@xxxxxxxxxx -s"*** MyServer.com Reboot - "`date
+%d-%m-%Y-%H:%M:%S`" ***" </etc/reboot.txt
above is one line.
of course the email I use for this reboot alert is outside the server and it
also send an SMS to my Mobile.
I have other monitoring services checking the server every 5 minutes but any
failure could be due to networks, etc...
Just pasted above into rc.local and make sure you have the file
/etc/reboot.txt which represents the body of the
message if you want to type something .. After your machine reboots you will
receive an alert..

Others may disagree with me, but based on my history with the Raq, I would
say that yes, your temp is too high.
For the Raq's that I host, CPU temps are usually in the 33-35 degree
Celsius range. A couple weeks ago when I complained of nightly reboots
which ended up turning into random daily reboots several times a day ... I
noticed that my CPU temp on the box with near idle loads was close to what
you're reporting (low 40's). Swapping out fans solved the problem, the
temps now stay in the low to mid 30's with little load, and the random
reboots stopped.
Could be coincidence, but when I look at the Raqs I have that are running
without problems, mid 30's is where they like to sit.
YMMV
