If you can't get encrypted passwords to work with SAMBA and Windows 95/98
then you have something setup wrong with SAMBA. I have a setup like that
here and it works with the encryption with no problems. I suggest you get
either the O'Reilly book on Samba or "Teach Yourself Samba in 24 Hours" both
are written by SAMBA team members.
