I don't think it's changing accept mail for domain tho, i think it's
making any change that affects email, i did the following test (it's a
slow day ;)

in GUI add user:
      moron, alias idiot

Gui now shows:

Full Name User Name Email Aliases
more.on moron idiot@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

---
in virtualusertable:

idiot@xxxxxxxxxxxxx moron (note no www.)
moron@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx moron
-----
[modify email of moron]
add bozo
-----
GUI shows
Full Name User Name Email Aliases
more.on moron bozo (where did the domain name go ?)
                     idiot
-----

now in virtialusertable:

moron@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx moron
idiot@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx moron
bozo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx moron

Note that the domain has been quietly changed by the GUI the *second*
time around, now it's different than it was the first time...

It would be nice if the GUI did what i told it instead of what it thought
i wanted ;0
