[cobalt-users] No Root or Admin Access

Title: No Root or Admin Access

I think I'm in trouble.
I was attempting to install ssh.  Instead of doing a mv in linux
I attempted to edit the passwd file to give admin root level access.
I found the instructions to edit the passwd file in this user list.
unfortunatly now that I change the passwd file I can no longer telnet or ftp into 
the box as admin or root.  The Cobalt UI still works fine.  After talking with Cobalt Tech Support
they said I would have to reinstall everything (Start OVER :( .  Does anybody have any Ideas?
I tryied changeing the admin password in the UI but that did not work.
I paperclipped the machine to reset the password and that did not work.
I have of course rebooted a number of time.
