If your cable modem is like mine, you may have to reset it. I have a
Motorola. It automatically detects the connection to your computers NIC via
ARP. It then builds its ARP address table based on the info that it gets
when first initialized. If you then plug it into another machine it won't
work without reseting it. There is probably a reset button on the back of
the modem. Hold it in for ten seconds and then release. It will take a
couple of minutes to come back on line.

I've tried connecting it directly to the cablemodem with all the settings,
and I get an error when I use the IP address to try and see the main RaQ3i
page. I used my dialup account to confirm this and sucessfully pinged and
tracert'd the IP and it is working fine.
Funny, I configured Windows 2000 with IIS and Sygate to redirect external
http calls to my workstation within the network, I point to my cablemodem IP
and it works fine. I then change the RaQ3i IP to my workstation IP, and
reboot everything, and the RaQ3i default page fails to come up.
I think this 15 minute appliance needs more work. This proves my
methodology is correct, and unless there is some hidden setting in the
RaQ3i, it simply doesn't work as advertised...
I like the virtual domain hosting and everything but if I don't get this
thing resolved in the next two days, I'm going to return it. I called tech
support and they promised to call me back yesterday afternoon and I still
have yet to receive a call from them.
