Pine creates mbox the first time a user accesses his mail.
Pine will pull mail from /usr/spool/mail into ~/mbox, which will be a
Bky-format
folder.
I don't have that directory, but have a /home/spool/mail/
Assuming this is a Cobalt specific setup.
The mbox driver enables the following behavior: if there is a file called mbox
in your home directory, and if that file is either empty or in Unix mailbox
format, then every time you open INBOX the mbox driver will automatically
transfer mail from the system mail spool directory into the mbox file and
delete
it from the spool directory. If you disable the mbox driver, this will not
happen.

This text is part of the internal format of your mail folder, and is not
a real message. It is created automatically by the mail system software.
If deleted, important folder data will be lost, and it will be re-created
with the data reset to initial values.

I read through the Pine docs but couldn't find any mention of this message.
