First, no only am I new to this list, but new
to the Raq2. I have searched EVERY archive I can find and have talked to
several experienced techs thus far with no luck.
I have a Raq2 with 16+gig drive and 256 megs
memory. As this is fairly new, we only have 30+ small sites on the
machine. Two of the sites utilize SSI and have done so without a problem
for 2 weeks now. This morning, something changed to cause a major PERL
problem, and I have been unable to determine what. The SSI sites will pull
up but it takes 10+ minutes versus the 10 second normal. When I load a
basic HTML page without SSI, no problem. I thought the problem was with
SSI, so I tested some more. I submitted some forms to myself that use PERL
commands. The forms took 5-10 minutes to process instead of the usual 20
seconds. I have re-started the machine completely, and
hesitantly. Everything came back up fine (phew!), however the same problem
with the PERL is there. How can I fix this. I know the Raq has never
set any records for PERL speed, however everything was fine a few hours
ago. I am not interested in "forcing" or "rigging" anything to make it
appear faster, I just want to put it back the way it was a few hours
ago.
At a total loss...
Best Regards, (and thanks ahead of time for
any help to bail me out of this one!!!)
