Hi all,
I have searched through the knowledgebase and thought I found some answers
but many of the threads concerning this are left unanswered.
Here is what I did -
Bought and installed Cobalt's SSL 3.1 pkg. Did the "make genkey" and a
"testcert" and that's it.
Now I can no longer FTP to the server as admin and make any changes (I can
only telnet and su to make any changes). Permission is denied. When I try
and access cgi scripts - the same thing happens.
I downloaded and tried to install the 3.2 update and since I am a Linux
newbie - I don't know how to go about installing this .pkg since has a ".gz"
extension. I have looked in my reference book for Linux and this area is
not touched in depth enough for me to understand how to unzip it so that I
can install the .pkg update.
I stopped the SSL server and it has made no difference. I would uninstall
it from the /var/lib/cobalt/uninstaller directory but I don't know the
command for this (this is where the knowledgebase stopped on the thread -
the command was never given). I don't know if this would even make a
difference.
Any help asap would be appreciated since my site is totally whacked right
now.
Thanks
Brenda Fuller
