I don't understand what the problem is, When you open front
page and
select "Open an Existing Front Page:"
(note it doesn't make any difference if you have never
created a front page on this site)
Click the "More Webs Button"
Enter the FQDN in the "Select a Web Server of Disk Location
Field" i.e. http://www.mydomain.com
Click on the "List Webs" button.
The text box titled "Front Page Webs found at location will
list all the /web directories that are Front Page Enabled.
<Root Web>
~userweb
If you want the root web select <Root Web> else select the
users web.
Click the "OK" button
Next you are presented with a log-in dialog box.
If you are at the root web enter the site administrators
user name and password
And You Are IN!!!
What could be easier. M$ Software may crash several times a
day, but, you have to give them credit they do have an
intuitive user interface.
