Thanks for the pointers!

The PHP4 pkg file would not install properly, but I eventually tried 
the RPM file - which reported that it depended on GD and FreeType.
Fortunately, both of those were at the experimental/raq3 location also.
Wow, looks like all I really need to do is type "rpm -ivh filename".
Was very fast installing, too.

Also, the knowledge base did have some valuable information for PHP3.
