Re[2]: Email Clients (Was: RE: [cobalt-users] HTML)

Hi Jeff,

On 15 March 2000 at 12:05:14 GMT -0800 (which was about 20:05 where I
live) Jeff Lasman <jblists@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote about "Email Clients

When I said new I mean 3 hours only. (PS your spelling is as bad as mine
<grin>)

If you keep asking, I will keep replying we can always move it off list.

It's always personal judgement (this is what moderators are for and to
DH threads).

I find that this is far better when you are looking at some threads that
have gone up to 5 deep. Some of the lists that I am on have gone over 15
deep. In this case it is nice to see who said what. I will find out
though. I have only be using The Bat! for 6 months so I have not found
all of its features.

I am actually going to port all my work from my laptop (NT server) to
Linux but I will run VMWare just to run some winblows stuff.

Explanation understood.
You can create different accounts on different drives. Each account you
can set to get its mail via a different transport method at different
times or only on demand.

JL> I will NOT use HTML email. Neither should anyone else. That's my
JL> story and I'm sticking to it <smile>.

That makes two of us. The Bat! will read HTML email if you want (I have
it switched off) but will not send them. If any one sends me mail that I
can not read due to HTML encoding I ask them politely (sometimes) to
stop and do it in a proper format. i.e one that complies with RFC's.

JL> But how about the ones I need <smile>...

I can't read minds!!

One very good reason for not using M$ is a number of VBS virus that are
around. <very big smile>(Want One <Hee Hee>)
