[cobalt-users] Cacheraq2 and Skycache (my cache can't keep up)

Hi,

We just took on a skycache satellite feed this week and it's working my
cacheraq2 into the ground. We have the bigger cache with 12 gig HD and 256
megs of ram, but never the less it's not keeping up. The skycache feed is
currently the only thing hitting the cacheraq. In our log we are producing
the following errors:

2000/03/10 14:10:29| aio_queue_request: WARNING - Request queue growing
Queue Length = 33
2000/03/10 14:10:29| aio_queue_request: Perhaps you should increase
NUMTHREADS in aiops.c

and

2000/03/10 14:15:44| WARNING: filemap utilization at 88%
Consider decreasing store_avg_object_size in squid.conf

and

2000/03/10 14:44:22| WARNING: All dnsserver processes are busy.
2000/03/10 14:44:22| WARNING: 5 pending requests queued
2000/03/10 14:44:22| Consider increasing the number of dnsserver processes
in your config file.

The filemap utilization and dnsserver processes look like they may be
fixable in squid.conf if the raq has the horsepower. As for the request
queue it may require a patch or recompile?

Also, /etc/squid/swap.log.00 is growing like crazy... it's 35+ megs in ~7
hours.

Anyone have any experience with these issue that can shed a little light on
the matter.

Thanks in advance,
