[cobalt-users] [RaQ2] host.allow how do I restart Inetd after I edit this file?

I need to add an ip to allow ftp to this server..
I dont want to shut down the server I just want
 to restart the service but don't know how from being telneted in.
Some one please reply. THis I know I need to find the prosses number
the kill that prosses right? But how to do this?? ok thanks..
