[cobalt-users] help re: domain waiting period

Hi All,

Hope someone can help me. When a new user signs up for a virtual site, one
goes through the new site/dns setup procedure. There is then a period of
waiting for the domain name to register and propagate.

Is it possible to give the user a direct IP address (using name based
hosting) to access their space via ftp and/or setup their email? ie:
122.54.45.15/~virtualsite type address?

ps: also, what do people recommend as the best method for mapping multiple
domains to one virtual site - add a records to the dns?
