which perl

and found that the path was /usr/local/bin/perl

You can always do:

# find / -name perl

I'm sure someone will tell you to just do a

# locate perl

To which I try both and tell me which one was easier for you.

(Of course I could just tell you:  it's "/usr/bin/perl", but isn't it nicer
to learn how to fish than to just take the fish? <smile>)
