Hi, folks. I've struggled struggled with the latest PHP4, latest Apache,
and latest Mysql for the last few days, and I have something that may be
helpful to some of you.... disclaimer though, this should only be used
if you are comfortable with straight-up linux and not so comfortable
with the GUI interface. In other words, this may nuke your warranty.

john.tar.gz (12 MB) contains RPMs for newest mysql, unpacked source for
apache 1.3.12, and php4bp1 (along with custom configure scripts for
each). The file INSTALL gives abridged directions. It worked for me.

(the file 'webserver' includes directions that have worked for me on a
standard linux box for php3 and mysql -- again, non-cobalt specific and
may foul up the GUI utilities, I dont know -- never used the GUI :)).
