Aha! A duplicate. This message of mine got sent to the list twice. Let's look at one particular header in the message: Message-Id: <4.2.0.58.20000303140916.00a52b80@xxxxxxxxxxxx>The Message-Id header is exactly the same on both messages. That means that the Mailman list manager sent it to the list twice. Notice the "@192.168.0.67"; that's the private IP# of my mail-server, and it was applied by the mailserver when it sent the message. If the header was added by my Eudora client (which is preferred behavior, by the way), the heder would have said "@192.168.0.101" as that is the private IP# of my desktop system.
The part of the ID on the left side of the "@" sign is never duplicated. So we know only one copy of the post left my system. I've even just verified that by looking at my mail-server logs.
So the duplication was created by the Mailman server. Jeff At 02:11 PM 3/3/00 -0800, I wrote:

Maybe it's time for me to take a break from answering questions on the list...We NEVER said this list runs on Majordomo, we were using this list as an example as in this case (not the question we had originally posted) we received as others have at various times multiple posts from people on the list. The question, as I saw it, was about behavior on the RaQ, using Majordomo. The example was a list using Mailman. To me that's a non-sequitor, kind of like if you ask why the train always runs late and use as an example that yesterday the bus ran late. And no, they were not reply to all, they were original email messages. So are you being defensive now? I never confused the two; Fathi and others did. And Fathi's already apologized.Jeff
