RE: [cobalt-users] Linux User Ignorance,

I find that often ignorance is bliss. You see I don't tell my users that I
am using an "alias" for them. I simply tell them that their e-mail address
is joe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and their user name for pop3 is td-joe (td is
initials for their company name). Only once have I had some one ask why the
pop username is not the same as their address but I simply explain that it
is our policy for security purposes that the user name not match the mail so
someone cant try to hack into their box as easily. Works every time.

People don't really care why you do stuff as long as you assure them that it
is the best for their situation they are happy.

Another 2 cents worth from me...

No there is no other way short of buying each of them their own Cobalt.
This is not a shortcoming of Cobalt in anyway, it is the operating system.
Any virtualhosting provider faces this issue and must explain this to our
clients as well, in fact we were just doing that this morning.

Do what we do and allow your webhosting customers set their email accounts
up?
