I totally agree, however each situation is different and in my case I have
not noticed any discernable difference in server response.  That could be
different if your server already had very high traffic.

I only included that in my instructions because otherwise one of the best
features in the Urchin program won't work.

Of course everyone should decide based on their situation.

I think wisdom is that this is a bad idea, as it forces a lookup on
every request (hence slowing things down). Look for a program called
logresolve on your machine... that's built to resolve IPs in an apache
log after the fact.
