I dont know about with a .htaccess file, but you should, and from what i have 
read up, can create a wrapper program to parse a document and insert or 
remove from it. You could probably use this for making your own HTML 
extentions, adding header and footers to HTML documents, or in my case, 
search for a HTML tag and if its not there add it. I dont know exactly how to 
get it to work yet but the variables passed to the script are PATH_TRANSLATED 
and PATH_INFO. If i manage to get this to work ill mail the script out over 
here so people can see how i did it :)
