RE: [cobalt-users] switch router suggestions?

Sorry the loop is only 150.00 And they have several tiers of connections
depending on where you want to be on thier frame relay.

Maybe the loop is a lot higher in your area but we were able to get a
full T1, albeit copper and not fiber for $1080 a month and $1000 for
installation and a cisco 2600 router with only a 1 year contract with
UUnet.

Regarding using the cable for web hosting. If you are charging
people you can't use cable because the uptime is less than 90% which
isn't acceptable for paying customers. However, if you are using it
for your personal site it will probably be fine unless your cable
provider has an upload cap. I'm using cable for one of my personal
sites (RenegadeOLGA.com) and it handles 10,000 users, 140,000 pages
and almost 500,000 total hits per day. Not bad for a $50 connection.
