Gary,
Those of us who really enjoy helping out on this list (and we're for the
most part users just like you, doing this on our own time) do get tired of
answering the same questions over and over again.
I could be wrong but I believe this question has been asked and answered at
least three times this week.
Do you know how to search and read archives?

I don't think you really know how to search. Searching is a wonderful
technique; every one of us should learn how to do it well, and do it more
often.
1. how do i setup domain1.com to point to domain2.com
Depends on whether you're using individual IP#s, or only one for all your
sites.
2. can i setup domain.com to point to domain2.com/directory
Yes, it's called "redirect" (look for that word in yesterday's archives),
and you do it with html. But it wastes a lot of RaQ resources, so you
should only do it if you're sharing IP#s.
I tired setting a CNAME but it didnt work, maybe i did it wrong
CNAME's are NOT a good idea. You should use A records. We can't possibly
tell if you did it wrong, though, since you didn't cut and paste an example.
Using CNAME or A records to point a domain to another will only work if
each domain has it's own IP#.
