RE: [cobalt-users] cobalt discussion channels

Let me see

1:	I got more help from irc then i ever have from this list.
Infact I learnt every thing I know from IRC

2:	I get the answer I want within minutes.
So I dont have to pull my hair out from frustration.

3:	The server Mat Kovach sent to the list has been very
supportive over the last couple of days I have been there.

4:	No offence but mailing lists suck because if I dont check
my mail for	a couple of days I end up with 300+ emails
	especialy over weekends.
The good thing about the mailing list is I can go through
all the information in my own time, stuff that isnt a
concern to me now might be latter and I can go through my
	mail.

If I need help fast I can always get it on irc.
Only thing is there isnt a place that revolves arround cobalt problems.
And id like a place like that where I could also get to know the people on
this list more.

And there will always be a mailing list, Id just like the alternitive.

And they do work.... why else would efnet undernet ircnet and dalnet get
over 40000-60000 users constant?

Why not simply keep this list?

All projects, including two websites where FAQs should have been posted (ie
http://cobalt.user-help.com) and a bulletin board, have not lived for very
long....., because simply nobody (=to few)wanted to use those mailing list
alternatives........

Sorry if I insult you, but I just don't understand why you have a need for a
seperate chat room, mailing list, bulletin board, or whatever.......
(whereas a collection of useful FAQs furnished out of the posts of this list
would be quite useful!).

Fathi
