enter the directory in this case site67/web then tar xfv
/pathtotar/site21.tar
Repeat it for each directory. no other good way to do this.

How do I change the directory structure of a tar file? I am restoring
sites, but need new site directories. For example site21 is now site67... I
don't want it to overright site21 when it is restored, it should go to it's
new location site67.
