Maybe I'm the only one, but I would like to be able to have our RaQ3 E-mail
us a predetermined times (In our case once every couple of hours) with
details of the status of the various functions of the box (Sort of like an
automatic Active Monitor.)
While this probably seems like overkill to most of you, it would make us
feel better to know the box was functioning, at least until we are
comfortable with it. I know the Active Monitor is suppose to send an E-mail
if the box is malfunctioning, but I can't help wonder how it can do this if
a major problem would develop that included E-mail server issues.
Has anyone ever saw anything like this before for the RaQ?
We have also considered one of the many online monitoring services
(NetMechanic, Net Whistle, etc) Anyone have anything good or bad to say
about these ?
Also, (and I appologize for asking up front), but has anyone successfully
installed OS2 (2nd edition). Like an idiot, being new to Cobalt, I assumed
they had their stuff together, so we download (or rather sideloaded directly
to the RaQ3) the 1st edition of the OS2 and then it disappeared only to
reappear again couple days ago.
Thanks,
M
