Yes it does. The entire purpose of this file is to keep records for the
gui; it's NOT part of DNS.
Just modifying the pri* files confuses the gui so I think about the
following.
Seriously. I'd say either do DNS by hand or by gui, hybrids are fraught
with difficulty.
Does anyone think creating pri* and sec* files myself is possible if I also
update the "records" file ?
Why would you create the files yourself, then? Can't you create them
through the gui?
I had a look into the file and it seems to be pretty simple, but I don't
understand the order in which the entries are listed. Does anyone have
further information ?
It seems to be simply based on the order in which the data was first
entered. You should do further checking to be sure, but I just looked at
it, and that's what it looks like to me.
