Greetings,
I have a RAQ3i. For one of the name-based sites, I have set up a user
account.
Let's call the domain: domain2.com
and the user: bob
Let's also call the main domain on the machine: domain1.com
and a user on that domain: fred
Here's what I CAN do (not both at the same time, mind you):
* send email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxx and have the email go into bob's mailbox
* forward bob's mail to fred@xxxxxxxxxxx
Here's what I CAN NOT do:
forward bob's mail to bob's external yahoo email account: bob@xxxxxxxxx
To make it simple, I'm try to set up a user account and have email to that
user automatically forwards to their separate ISP email account. If I leave
the forwarding box alone, all works well. If I forward the mail to a user on
the server (doesn't matter which domain the user belongs to), it works well.
My problem is forwarding mail sent to a user automatically to an external
email address.
If I attempt this, I can the email bounced back:
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
bob@xxxxxxxxx
(expanded from: <bob@xxxxxxxxxxx>)
----- Transcript of session follows -----
550 bob@xxxxxxxxxxxx Host unknown (Name server: yahoo.com: host not found)
Any ideas why this server would not forward mail to an outside address?
Where do I start looking?
Regards,
